This course is designed to provide the participant with an understanding of aggression and inter-personal violence. It will discuss situational awareness and how to recognize the dangerous places and dangerous individuals. It will focus on violence avoidance by examining the aspects of aggression before an assault. It will focus on verbal and non-verbal communications that predict violent attacks. It will examine the criminal tools of the trade and how they are hidden, carried, and used. It will discuss methods to stay safe at home, in your vehicle and at work. The course will examine what happens to the body under stress and how to make better decisions during extreme situations. It will examine our own survival signals, and identify numerous ways to stay safe in our tumultuous society.
